What parade?

The annual Tarrant County Veterans Day Parade - hosted by the City of Fort Worth and organized by the Tarrant County Veterans Council - is always held in Cowtown on November 11 at 11 a.m. For more than 100 years, the city and North Texas patriots have organized events to salute all Veterans

Where is it?

The parade will step off from the Tarrant County Courthouse, marching down Main Street, through Sundance Square to Sixth Street where it turns right. The parade takes another right at Houston Street, heading back north toward the courthouse.

Why's this so special?

This is the final year of the Vietnam War commemoration and marks 50 years since the end of the conflict.  It was authorized by Congress and established under the Secretary of Defense to thank and honor our nation's Vietnam Veterans and their families for service and sacrifice.

Who's putting this on?

The City of Fort Worth will again host the Tarrant County Veterans Day Parade on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025.  Organized by the Tarrant County Veterans Council, this will be the 106th anniversary of Armistice Day/Veterans Day celebrations in Cowtown. Join us honoring our exceptional Veteran friends and neighbors.

When is it?

The parade and Veterans Day salute is always held on November 11th - regardless the day of the week (unless it's Sunday). The 2025 salute will be on Tuesday. Opening ceremonies usually begin about 10:30 a.m. with the parade stepping off at 11 a.m.

Why have this event?

Veterans Day is important because it is a chance to acknowledge the sacrifices of the men and women who have served or are currently serving in the armed forces of the United States. This holiday was originally known as Armistice Day. Unlike Memorial Day - a time of somber reflection - Veterans Day is meant as a salute to all Veterans... past, present and future.
