PARADE DESIGNATED NATIONAL VA SITE
The Tarrant County Veterans Day Parade has been designated by the Dept. of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Veterans Day National Committee (VDNC) as a VA-recognized regional site for this year’s celebration in Fort Worth. Each year, the VDNC invites cities, towns, and non-profit organizations across the nation to play a special role in honoring America’s heroes. READ MORE

PARADE GRAND MARSHAL CHOSEN
Decorated Vietnam War veteran Army CW4 (Ret.) Doug Petersen will be the grand marshal for this year’s Tarrant County Veterans Day Parade, according to the event organizer – the Tarrant County Veterans Council (TCVC). Chief Petersen saved hundreds of lives during the war as a “Dustoff” – a helicopter pilot trained for medical evacuation missions during combat. READ MORE
